The Birth of a Thought

While I was typing this, I was imagining that I was writing a book rather than making a website. Therefore, what you’re reading right now is an author’s note. My foreword.

I can’t remember anymore when I first realized that I wanted to be a writer. I just knew that I did and I still do up to now. It’s been my dream to share my works to world but I was kept from doing so because of my self-consciousness. I tend to overthink how people would react.

But not anymore.

My works will always have its flaws. If I waited for it to be perfect before I show it off, my flash drive will just be buried with me on my grave: Dead along with my dream to be called a writer. It’s the desire to rebel against my fears that pushed me to create this blog. Miss Oddly dedicates this site to those whose passions are somewhat barred by their self doubt. You are not alone. I’ve been there too.

Friends, for a while, let’s just be free.

Let’s forget about the flaws and the criticisms.

Let’s traipse away from the rules— if that’s what it would take to completely express what’s on our minds.

Nothing haunts us like the things we don’t say.  -Mitch Albom
